Adam Proffitt and Jess Berridge took the plunge in April 2021 and decided to give up their day jobs and jump right in the deep end by starting their own family construction business. Initially called Ninety by 45 Construction, they decided to rebrand to Build Creative as it better reflects the work they do – designing and building extraordinary living spaces.
Jess is an architectural designer, a Licensed Building Practitioner and draftsperson with a diploma in Architectural Technology from NorthTec. She has a special interest in rendering and can create the most amazing photorealistic 3D images for you to see your ideas come to life.
Adam holds a National Certificate in Carpentry and is a fully licenced builder and they are both experienced Project Managers. Within the years they’ve had in the trade, they’ve used their knowledge and technical abilities for a range of exciting local Design and Build projects.
With a growing team, they specialise in Design and Build solutions for clients in Northland, specifically in Whangarei, Whangarei Heads Waipu, Tutukaka, Ruakaka, Ngunguru and One Tree Point. Their dedication to building and renovating beautiful homes where every detail is carefully considered is what makes them stand out from the rest.
Where most builders are the main contractors who hire others to design and build, Jess and Adam do it all themselves. They are open to alternative building methods and excited about creating spaces where people feel happy to live and work in.
